The Cooinda Cat Resort pride themselves on providing 5 star accommodations for your V.I.P (Very Important Pussycat). If you are going on holidays for a couple of days, an extended trip for a couple of weeks, or need more long term boarding then they offer the best care for your furry friend. Cooinda Cat Resort provides safe, secure, discrete pet apartments for each guest on 5 acres in a tranquil bush setting. All rooms have access to exercise areas where climbing or sun baking is the order of the day and music is piped through all the buildings 24 hrs a day.

With over 30 years experience in caring for cats their Kitty Carers are well placed to care for all your cats needs. Onsite inspections are welcomed – because like many things in life not all catteries are the same.

Feline Accommodation
At Cooinda Cat Resort the number one priority is the care and comfort of your cat while they are away from their homes.

Cooinda Cat Resort offer only 5 star accommodations without the 5 star cost. The peaceful cat only holiday resort will be a welcome home for your feline family member.

All pet apartments are walk in size – no cages at Cooinda!

Not all cats are the same and for this reason Cooinda Cat Resort can offer a number of different styles of apartments to suit different needs. In all of areas we also have family enclosures available for those clients with more than one Furry Family member.

The Fernery Apartments have a large indoor enclosure where your pet can feel safe and secure during the day and night. This enclosure overlooks indoor ponds, grassy gardens and calming water features.

Attached to the indoors enclosure is a secure private exercise yard. This area is great for outdoor cats as their yards have scratching poles that go up to the roof – great for viewing from on high. They also have lovely hammocks to lounge in the sun and are covered with laser light to allow the cats access to outside even during mild rain. The views across the gardens also make this ideal for bird watching.

Our Indoor Enclosures are for feline friends who are predominantly indoor cats at home. Again they have a large walk in size indoors apartment with a large window and shelf – this is for those who love to sit and watch the world go by. They also have attached to the indoor enclosure an outdoor exercise yard.

The cat nip exercise yards are made of secure tunnels and towers which hold prime position either on the lake side – over looking the ducks and other water birds in our jungle grass gardens – or the court yard side – for all those busy bodies who like to be amongst the action.

In another area the outside exercise yards have been designed for those who love to lie in the sun. With all concrete floors the all day sun keeps this area constantly warm, which is great to lie on.

They also have kitty hammocks and climbing poles for those who would rather not lie on the ground.

Deluxe Suites are also available for families of cats and can accommodate up to 8 cats from the one family in an exclusive Avery enclosure.

These Deluxe Suites are the Club Med of Cooinda and provide a quiet and sunny aspect for a relaxing holiday away from other guests.

At Cooinda Cat Resort all guests are separated – as per the Victorian Boarding Regulations - and at no time are guests exercised or housed together (unless they are from the same family and you have requested this).

In all of our areas we have quite sections for those of our more reclusive or timid guests and we also have family suites – for any of our guests who visit with their brothers and sisters. Cats from the same family maybe separated at your request or stay together if they are happy in each other’s company.

We also have an isolation area should any of our guests feel under the weather where they can be separated from the main part of the cattery with very little disruption.

With a Vet on 24 hour call and the ability to look after cats that are rehabilitating from either accident or surgery, Cooinda Cat Resort offers all cat care holidaying services.

We also have pheromone comfort technology in all our buildings – which works a treat with those of our more highly-strung guests.

We take the care of your cats very seriously – we love them as if they were our own while they are with us.

While their care is our number one priority your peace of mind is also important to us so we welcome you to come and take a tour before you decide to book at Cooinda Cat Resort.

Boarding Requirements
As is required by the Victorian Boarding Code of Practice, all guests at Cooinda Cat Resort MUST arrive with up to date Feline Enteritis Vaccinations (Cat Flu). Please speak to your Vet about this if you are unsure however it is a requirement that your cat be up to date with an F3, F4 or F5 vaccination.

If your cat does require a vaccination it is requested that this is done at least 2 weeks before arriving at the cattery. You MUST provide evidence of the vaccination certificate or card on check-in, if not you will be unable to admit your cat for boarding.

Prices
Rates vary depending on your pet, your requirements and the season of booking. There are peak and off peak periods during the year and the rates will vary slightly during these times. All rates include the food, bedding and GST

If required, the Kitty Kab pick up and delivery service to your suburb is available at an additional charge.

Deposits & Minimum Stays may be required at certain times throughout the year.

Canine Accommodation
Canine accommodation is also available at the nearby Dogs Country Club and Kennels.
