Gunnamatta Equestrian Centre is an integrated equestrian facility situated at Rye in the heart of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

The staff are qualified and friendly and they have over 80 quality, well behaved horses. They provide on hand instruction to make your riding experience a pleasure and to improve your knowledge and skills.

They offer everyone, of all ages and levels of ability the chance to participate in the exhilarating experience of horseriding. Our centre attracts riders from all walks of life including schools and colleges, day-trippers, international and interstate visitors and community groups.

The centre has been operating since 1980 and was awarded the 1999 Victorian Tourism Award Winner.

Ocean Beach Ride
Ride along a bush track to beautiful and rugged St. Andrews Beach where the surf pounds the sands. Feel the sea-spray on your face and share the sense of freedom as the horses canter along the edge of the waves.

This ride takes approximately 2 hours and is suitable for beginners and advanced alike.

Price: $77.00

Bush Ride
Ride along bush tracks enjoying the relaxed movement of the horses as they walk. There is plenty of opportunity to trot and canter up the long straight hills.

This is a 1 hour ride and is suitable for all levels and especially very young children.

Price: Adults $39.00 Children $35.00 when accompanied by an adult

3 hour bush ride- $99.00

Advanced Bush Rides
For the more advanced rider, take a different route along a more challenging bush track. With many chances to trot and canter this ride will challenge the rider and add to their experience.

Choose between a 2 hour or a 3 hour ride for even greater challenges.

Price: $70 (2 hour) $90 (3 hour)

Full Day Beach & Bush
In the morning enjoy the ocean beach ride, return for lunch and then start the 2 hour afternoon ride through Green's Bush.

Price: $160.00

Lessons
Our instructors can teach the total beginner or seasoned rider on the school horses.
